For Best Results

For severe conditions use Asthijeewa oil with massage for 6 consecutive days. After each session leave the oil on affected area for 30 minutes and wipe off with a warm towel. Massage the joints with the Asthijeewa Ayurveidc massage ball in a circular motion. Massage in the clockwise direction for 5 times and then keep it still for a few seconds and then massage again in anticlockwise direction for 5 times.

Rasona (Allium sativum):

Studies have shown that, actually, Allium sativum is pretty amazing for treating arthritis which is one of the main causes of back and joint pain. Allium sativum is actually part of a group of plants that contain Allium.
Allium sativum helped with the symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis. 86.5% of those treated reported a lessening in the symptoms of their Rheumatoid Arthritis. Allium sativum is also even more beneficial as a treatment because it produces no adverse side effects for the patients.
Most back and joint pain are usually linked to inflammation of the joints. This is especially true if the cause of your back and joint pain is arthritis. Allium sativum extracts have anti-inflammatory properties which can help to prevent inflammation of the joints and thus the pain that comes from inflammation.
Allium sativum helps to inhibit the main causes of inflammation within the joints. This is especially helpful to those of you who suffer from arthritis.

Bariyar (Sida cordifolia):

Sida cordifolia is known as country mallow in English and Bariyar in Ayurveda. Bariyar means strength. The herb is used largely to increase the strength of the body. Bariyar happens to be an ancient Ayurvedic herb; it is used widely in a range of Ayurvedic medicines & oils to enhance the strength of bones, joints and muscles. It grows as an erect hairy plant. You can see it as a weed across the tropical and subtropical regions in India and Sri Lanka. As per the principles of Ayurveda, Bariyar is light to digest & increases the moistness of tissues. Moreover, it acts as a body coolant.
Bariyar has excellent anti inflammatory properties and hence it is used to treat wounds as well as inflammation. Oils that are prepared using Bariyar are very useful in treating arthritis and various other diseases that affect joints. The oil is also used to massage the patients who suffer from cervical spondylosis, paralysis, facial paralysis and so on. The oil made by using Bariyar has shown proven results as far as arthritis and other joint pains are concerned.

Rasna (Pluchea lanceolata):

The plant is used in Ayurvedic medicines, Tibetan, African and American folk medicines from centuries. It is used as a natural cure for many neurological disorders like neuritis, sciatica and chronic inflammation of nervous system. Even Rasna can cure the constipation or flatulence issues.
It is a popular choice as ‘Rasayana’ which delays the aging process due to its anti-ageing properties. The antitoxic properties can remove the toxins from body.

Kalimirch (Piper nigrum):

Kalimirch is used externally in the form of paste and cream since the time of Charaka Samhita (Reference: Charaka Samhita 3/12) the Kalimirch fruit powder, made a paste with water and applied to improve blood circulation.
Rheumatism, according to Ayurveda is caused mainly due to the accumulation of toxic substances, water deposits, salt and uric acid especially in the joints, leading to inflammation, redness, soreness, pain and irritation. Black pepper essential oil has the power to discharge excess water deposits, toxic remains known as ama, uric acid and other calcium deposits through urine.

Karkatasringi (Pistacia integerrima):

In Sushurta samhita, Karkatasringi is classified as poisonous tuber. It is herb which produce sringi (gall).
This herb is quite good in the problem of edema (swelling). It helps to reduce the fluid accumulation in the tissues. Furthermore this herb also helps to provide the relief in the problem like swelling in legs, hands, arms, ankle and feet which are associated with edema.

Devdaru (Cedrus deodara):

Devdaru or Cedrus deodara is an Ayurvedic herb very useful in neurological disorders. The oil of deodar is very much useful in curbing headache and arthritis. Devdaru oil is very helpful in treating skin diseases, curing imbalances and also curing vata dosha like constipation, bloating, paralysis, joints pain, arthritis etc. The name Devdaru derived from Sanskrit translates to ‘wood of gods’. It has been given different names in different languages. In English it is called Himalayan Cedar.
Oil can be also applied on swelling inflammation, to clean infected wound, and get relief from itching and pain. This oil is also used in relieving headache. Applying its paste on chest helps curb pain.
In Charaka samhita, it is also mentioned that this is an ingredient to relieve pain and stiffness. This has no side effects.

Sthulatvak (Cinnamomum ceylonicum):

It balances Vata and Kapa doshas. Sthulatvak has property of reducing pain in arthritis. Useful in case of Rheumatoid Arthritis. It is good in case of insomnia, anorexia, and Paralysis etc.

Ajwain (Carum capticum):

Ajwain, is used as a traditional Indian medicine since ages and acts as an effective instant medicine for numerous health issues. Ajwain from Ayurvedic point of view is a very useful herb. It has a very profound impact on Kapha and Vata doshas. It has a very strong vata pacifying effect on the body.
For its pain relieving action Ajwain helps in all kinds of skeletal pains and rheumatic conditions. Great medicine for arthritis and rheumatic pain.
With its anti-inflammatory, anesthetic and antibiotic properties, Ajwain seeds can be used treat rheumatism and arthritic pain. It can also soothe skin infections, redness, skin inflammation and itching

Kapur (Cinnamomum camphora):

It balances Kapha and Pitta doshas. It manages Kapha, skin diseases, itching and pain. It provides instant relief from spams and cramps. It helps to heal muscular pains and aches as well as rheumatism. It helps to cure swelling of various body parts so give relief to joints pain and help to improve circulations.

Sringavera (Zingiber officinale):

It balances Kapha dosha. According to Acharya Charak Snehan, deepana, vrishya and pacification of vata and kapha dosha are the various effects of this herb. In Charaka suthrastanan chapter 27th this herb is mentioned.
It is anti inflammatory in nature it helps to reduce swelling and edema. Zingiber officinale is effective in arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis.

Akarkara (Anacyclus pyrethrum):

Akarkara is used to treat rheumatic pain and other ailments. The flower head and leaves are used for medicinal purposes which have a pungent taste, tingling and numbness. The leaves of Akarkara are used in Japan to treat joint pain, gout, rheumatism and arthritis. Akarkara provides calcium to the bones thereby strengthening them.

Arandmool (Ricinus communis):

Arandmool, known scientifically as Ricinus communis, is a shrub found in wild habitats and is important because of many health benefits it offers as per Ayurveda, the ancient medical science of India. Its parts like roots, leaves, seed oil are used for different purpose.
It balances Vata and Kapha doshas Arandmool is helpful in treatment of rheumatic and skin diseases.
Arandmool is heavy with hot potency and sweet taste and is used to cure inflammation, migraine, and severe pain, relieves pain in lower back and rheumatoid arthritis. From ancient times it has been used to cure disorders like rheumatism. It is used to cure vata dosha related to disorders like arthritis and paralysis.

Anantmool (Tylophora asthmatica):

Anantmool balances tridoshas. Anantmool has cooling properties, when administrated on the body it has a very stabilizing and cooling impact which helps to neutralize abnormal acid secretion in joints. Anantmool paste or oil can be applied externally to treat joint pain in case of osteoarthritis and gout. It is also helpful in curing many skin conditions as well. It used to pacify all three dosha i.e. vata, pitta and kapha.

Punarnava (Boerhaavia diffusa):

It balances Pitta and Kapha doshas.
Punarnava herb possess diuretic, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidative, anti-arthritic and antibacterial properties. It is beneficial in arthritis and sciatica as it reduces inflammation and pain in joints as well as muscles. It has properties to reduce swelling around the joints.

Elaichi (Elettaria cardamomum):

It balances Kapha and Vata doshas. In Charak Samhita; Herbs used in body aches.
It is analgesic and best used in the treatment of arthritis, sore muscles and lower back pain. It is anti fungal, antibacterial and antiviral in nature and it is used against various infections. It is used to pacify vata and kapha doshas.

Haridra (Curcuma longa): हरिद्रा प्रमेहहराणाम्।

Haridra is used as blood purifier and it is used in the treatment of atherosclerosis, it is used to remove accumulation in the blood vessels and used to remove toxins from the body. It is used to expel out extra kapha and meda dosha from body. Being anti-inflammatory this herb is used to reduce inflammation and used in the treatment of bone related disorders. Due to its hot potency it is used to pacify kapha and vata dosha and due to its dry properties, bitter and pungent taste this herb is used in the pacification of kapha dosha.

Pudina (Mentha Arvensis):

Pudina or Pudina Oil has properties which can pacify the pitta and kapha dosha in the body and aggravate vata dosha. It also relieves sore muscles, spondylosis, and sciatica and back pains. It nurtures the skin, reduces pain and inflammation.

Raktasarshapa (Brassica campestris):

It relieves pain and swelling associated with wound, abscess and edema. In cases of paralysis, Raktasarshapa paste helps to improve blood circulation and warmth. Raktasarshapa application helps to relieve the patches, pain and burning sensation. In case of arthritis and other joint conditions with stiffness, as in rheumatoid arthritis, Raktasarshapa application helps to improve warmth and joint flexibility.
It balances Vata and Kapha doshas.
